Red Wings 22 Wins

The best story in sports right now might be getting covered up. Sure the Jeremy Lin craze has been lighting up ESPN, but the best sports story comes from the NHL. The Detroit Red Wings have won 22 straight games at their home rink, the Joe Lewis Arena. 22 straight wins at home is absolutely insane! There is only 82 regular season games, that means that Detroit has 41 home games a year. They have won OVER HALF of their regular season home games in one win streak. Sure the news outlets give them a highlight every once in awhile, but this streak needs to be acknowledged more. They have been doing this lately without the services of all star goaltender Jimmy Howard, who has been out of action since Feb. 2nd. The streak probably end sooner rather then later, hopefully they will somehow get the credit they deserve for this great streak.

Last year, almost to the day was my last activity on this blog. Writing about sports is something I have always liked to do, and I just figured that this would be a good way to do it. So to whoever is out there, hope you will like to what I will be putting out there soon!
